Sermon March 18, 2012

“Belonging” is such a strong need for human beings. As I was growing up I had several ‘foster’ families and I know the difference between being a full member of the family, or not. I remember being in a wedding of one of my foster aunts. All day there were pictures   being taken of the wedding party itself and also of various family groupings. I am in all of the wedding party pictures, but none of the family pictures. It works that way as a ‘foster’ kid.  Painful! But God doesn’t have foster kids. His kids belong to Him fully in a never-ending  promise based on love. God knows we need to belong fully to Him and He to us.

There’s really good news this morning for

anyone needing to belong fully.
