Sermon Sunday February 10, 2013

Colleen and I broke up once when we were dating.  I was being a knob and she was tired of it so she brought down the hammer. Clunk. It was over. No more boyfriend, girlfriend. No more friendship. No phone contact, no email, texting, or tweeting (those things weren’t around anyway – phones with wires connected to landlines were!). Zero. It was like I was dead to her. For four frozen Siberian winter months. No contact. Lost. And then one day the phone rang and boy was I ready to not be knob anymore. Thankfully God restored her to me and made her my wife. The good news is that even now when I’m a knob, she says she’s still sticking with me. Great news!

Sermon February 10, 2013 – Andrew Allison Isaiah 49

Isaiah 49 – Study Questions

1. Tell of a time when you lost something and it was restored to you.

2. God has a heart for restoring, renewing, rebuilding and reconnecting. Tell of a time when God brought something back in your life.

3. What does it mean to you that God has you carved on the palm of His hand?

4. Have you lost something that is still lost? Share that with the group and take time praying over each other about that.
