I don’t hang on to Encouragement cards for very long. I receive them, am blessed by them but they move off my desk pretty quickly. Recently I received an encouragement letter from a person I hardly even know. It arrived at a time when ministry was getting to me. She barely knows me but she attended a funeral I conducted and she took the time to put into specific words, with careful observation, the help I had been to her and, she hoped, to the community. The letter went straight to my bloodstream. I can’t seem to move it off my desk. Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
