Sermon Study Questions: John 11:17-44

  1. Why did Jesus wait for 4 days? Didn’t he know the sisters would be distraught?
  2. What is similar and what is different about the way the Martha and then Mary encountered Jesus?
  3. When do you cry? What moves Jesus to weep?
  4. Why is Jesus able to call himself “The Resurrection and Life”? How does he qualify for that title?
  5. What hope do you have of resurrection? How do you understand that will take place?
