Stephen Ministry is a ministry at St. Paul’s Leaskdale in which trained and supervised lay persons, called Stephen Ministers, provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties.
Stephen Ministers listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional support to people who are facing a crisis or going through tough times. The care you’ll receive is confidential. There is no fee.
Stephen Ministry ministers to those experiencing challenges such as:
Loneliness, loss of a spouse, retirement changes, unemployment, discouragement, childbirth, hospitalization, divorce\grief, terminal illness, questions about God and faith among others.
A Stephen Minister is:
Someone who cares
Someone who supports
Someone who listens
Someone who shares
